Jul.12,2008You are still confused about concluding sentence. Here are some explanation about it.
A concluding sentence closes the paragraph so that the reader is not left expecting more. Sometimes a concluding sentence reminds the reader of the main point by restating the topic sentence in different words. For example:
Beaches are fun in summer and in winter. In summer, you can swim and do many other water sports. If you don’t like water sports, you can play beach games or relax on the warm sand. In winter, beaches are less crowded, so they are good places for solitary walks. Also, on a clear winter night, nothing is more fun than sitting with a group of friends around a big bonfire, talking, laughing, and singing. All year round, a beach is a place to have fun.
perhatikan topic sentence: Beaches are fun and in winter.
Concluding sentence: All year round, a beach is a place to have fun.
Lihat lagi tulisan tentang paragraph di blog ini. Perhatikan topic sentence dan concluding sentencenya. Saling berkaitan kan? Kemabli lagi pada ilustrasi tentang hamburger.
A concluding sentence may also make a recommendation:
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
……………………………………………… In my opinion, the teleVox telephone is the best choice for our company.
or
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
……………………………………………… With this information, I will never again feel stupid in my math class.
Is it a must to have concluding sentence?
No. it is not. Some short paragraphs do not need a concluding sentence.
in short, topic sentence is the top bun of a hamburger and the concluding sentence is the bottom bun.

I think, its similar idea, what’s the diferences?

YES. topic and concluding idea has similar idea, that is why I illustrate the hamburger. Top bun and bottom bun have simialr taste.

Mam,, i just want to write about SLEEP
Most people need seven to eight hours of sleep a night. Some people need more. Many people have difficulty sleeping, but they don’t know why. Most people know it is important not to drink coffee or tea before they go to bed both beverages have caffeine. Caffeine keeps people awake. However, not everybody knows that some medicines, such as cold tablets, also have caffeine in them. Stress can cause insomnia,too. Busy people with stressful jobs may not be able to sleep at night.
I think ” you shouldn’t use your bedroom as a TV room or an exercise room. You should use it for sleeping only. It’s a good idea to have a regular sleeping schedule. Get up and go to bed at same time everyday. It’s also important not to eat before bedtime. Eating may keep you awake”.
And if all this doesn’t work, try counting sheep !.

I just want to write about Pulleys ( in Mechanical Enginering)
The pulleys are used to transmit power from one shaft to another by means of belts or ropes. Since the velocity ratio is the inverse ratio of the diameters of driving and driven pulleys, therefore the pulleys, diameters should be carefully selected in order to have a desired velocity ratio. Pulleys must be in perfect alignment in order to allow the belt to travel in a line normal to the pulley faces.
The pulleys may be made of cast iron, cast steel or pressed steel, wood and paper. The cast materials have good friction and wear characteristics. Pulley made of pressed steel are lighter than cast pulleys, but in many cases they have lower friction and may produce excessive wear. We shall now discuss the various types of pulleys for flat belts in the following articles.
